One of Califon’s Treasures Retires

Clayton Huff, who has been Califon’s crossing guard at Mill and Main for the last 9 years has retired. Clayton loved his job here in Califon and stated he will miss the children the most and the people he sees every day. Although Clayton did not live in Califon, he advised that the people here made him feel like this was his home too.

Clayton is loved by the students of Califon School that he greeted every morning and afternoon, not to mention all of the parents, residents and local business owners that would receive his smiling greeting.  

Our town center will not be the same without the friendly wave of Clayton Huff to all who passed through. He will be missed more than words can express.

If anyone would like to give Clayton a card, please drop it off at the municipal office and Karen Mastro will make sure Clayton receives the same.
