Hunterdon Voters Have Several Ways to Vote in July 7th Primary Election

Vote By Mail Ballots Have Been Mailed to Voters

The New Jersey Primary Election on July 7, 2020, will lb ethe first-ever statewide election conducted by way of Vote By Mail (VBM), as ordered by Governor Phil Murphy, through Executive Order #144. Completed ballots are due to the County Board of Elections (or dropbox) by July 7th at 8 pm.

Hunterdon County voters have several ways to deliver their Vote by Mail (VBM) ballots to the County Board of Elections including;

Mailing the completed ballot back in the postage-paid envelope provided. Ballots must be postmarked July 7, 2020, and received by the Board of Elections no later than July 14, 2020.

Placing the sealed ballots at Dropbox locations around the County (listed below) or

Drop off at the County Board of Elections, Historic Court House, 3rd Floor, 71 Main Street, Flemington.

You can take your ballot to any of the County’s secure ballot drop-box locations any time, up until 8 pm on Election Day.

A Voter may apply for a Mail-in Ballot by mail up to 7 days prior to the election. He or she may also apply in person to the County Clerk prior to 8 pm on the day of the election.

Pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order;

Voting in person will take place at single polling stations en each municipality. Voting stations will open at 6 am and close at 8 pm on July 7th.

There will be no voting machines at the polls. Voters will be voting by Provisional Ballots only. Voters with disabilities that sign a certification will have access to and may vote on an ADA accessible machine.
