Services for unsheltered individuals during “Code Blue” freezing temperatures

A “Code Blue” in New Jersey indicates freezing temperatures and conditions that may pose a threat to unsheltered individuals. This means that all County libraries, as well as the County Senior Center in Flemington, serve as warming centers during their operating hours. 

Additionally, anyone needing shelter overnight Monday through Friday is asked to call Hunterdon County Social Services at 908-788-1300 prior to 4:30pm.  After 4:30 pm and on weekends, those needing shelter are asked to dial “2-1-1” on their phones or visit nj211.org.
