New Sensory Garden At Califon Island Park!

Come see and experience the latest addition to the playground area of Califon Island Park: A raised garden bed where kids – supervised of course – can smell, touch and – with their parents guidance – taste a variety of herbs!

 

Donations from Wild Boar Farms, Willow Grove Clydesdales and Hoffman’s Supply made this fun learning opportunity possible. Herbs are identified by names, how they are used and the symbolisms they represent.

There’s a Fairy House Building area just 20 feet away from the sensory garden under the shade of the trees (because of course, that’s where fairies hang out!) – natural materials are available in buckets in the designated area, and there will be workshop showing you at least one style of Fairy House building.
