Heat Advisory and Severe Storm Risk for Friday, July 25

✓Dangerously hot and humid conditions with heat indices near 100-105° are expected on Friday. This will lead to an increased risk of heat related illnesses. A Heat Advisory is in effect.
✓ Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and evening, with locally damaging wind gusts being the main threat. Large hail and brief heavy downpours are also possible.
✓ Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are forecast for much of the weekend. Severe thunderstorms will be possible, along with a risk of heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding. Humid over the weekend as well, but not as hot.
✓ A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect along the Delaware Bay shore and tidal Delaware River for tonight’s high tide. Additional minor flooding is forecast with the Thursday night high tide as well.
