January is National Radon Action Month!
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer. Radon is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer in the United States!
You can’t see or smell radon. Testing is the only way to know your level of exposure. Radon can have a big impact on your health and indoor air quality. All homes should be tested for radon.
FREE radon test kits are currently available to Hunterdon County residents at the Hunterdon County Health Department? Residents can pick up a test at the Route 12 County Complex, Building 1, Second Floor during the Health Department’s office hours, M-F 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
