DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, April 20th come out to Califon Island Park for Trout Fest 2024! It will be an afternoon of celebrating spring and fly fishing complete with good music and food\, kids’ fishing derby and instructional events throughout the day along with quality local handmade vendors. \nLast year’s event was a success with over 150 people in attendance testing their fly rod casting skills\, enjoying good food provided by the Califon Fire Dept.\, shopping local makers and enjoying music by the Joe Cirotti Trio. \nSouth Branch Outfitters at 74 Main Street is sponsoring this event. It is owned by Califon residents Abraham and Lindsey Beates\, both Navy veterans committed to service to their country and their community. Their vision for this new business includes breaking down the barriers to entry for those new to the sport or anyone in need of a little mental peace and quiet – stop by the shop and they’ll get you out on the water!
