The Empty Bowl

“The Empty Bowl” is the main fund raiser for the Flemington Area Food Pantry–the primary food pantry in Hunterdon County. The Empty Bowl will take place Friday, October 14, from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Flemington United Methodist Church on Main Street.  This event is the major fundraiser for the Flemington Area Food Pantry, which provides free groceries to approximately 1,300 needy Hunterdon County families. This event features an appetizing lunch of soup from a local restaurant, bread, a fresh salad, a homemade dessert and a lovely artisan bowl crafted by a local potter, to take home. Take-out lunches, including the bowl, are also available.

This year soups from Teaberry’s Tea Room, Matt’s Red Rooster Grill, Basil Bandwagon, Chive and Thyme Café, Metropolitan Seafood Company, The Amwell Church of the Brethren, and the kitchens of ShopRite of Hunterdon County, will be on the menu.
